OnePlus Watch 3 is a highly anticipated smartwatch. Its premiere is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. In the meantime, a photo has appeared online that shows its prototype with a new function. It is an Oppo watch, but we know that it will hit international markets as OnePlus Watch 3 and that will happen soon.
OnePlus Watch 3 is a new smartwatch, the premiere of which we are still waiting for. Some rumors suggested that it would be presented in early January 2025, along with the new smartphones from the 13 series. However, this did not happen. In the meantime, a photo of the new Oppo watch has appeared on the web. Why are we interested in this device?
The OnePlus Watch 3 smartwatch is a rebranded Oppo watch
Let’s start with the premiere of the new Oppo smartwatch from the X2 series. In fact, the same device (with some changes) will hit the market as the OnePlus Watch 3. This is the first gadget posing in the photo that you can see below. It was shared by one of the brand’s directors, Zhou Yibao.
We can see that the Oppo Watch X2 smartwatch will receive a new function, which is presented in the photo. This is blood pressure measurement. This is not a new solution and, for example, OnePlus implemented it in the previous generation. However, in the case of the first brand, it will be a novelty.
By the way, the photo reveals the appearance of the watch, although it is enclosed in a special casing. The dial is round, and on one of its sides there are two buttons – a flat one and a round one, which is a digital crown. Oppo will introduce this device to the offer in February 2025. We will wait a little longer for availability in Europe.
OnePlus Watch 3 to premiere in March
The OnePlus Watch 3 smartwatch will probably be presented this quarter. It is possible that it will happen during the Barcelona MWC 2025 trade fair, which will be held in the capital of Catalonia in early March. This will certainly be a good opportunity to premiere the watch in the international version. The same one that we will later buy in Poland.
Some time ago, renders of the OnePlus Watch 3 leaked to the network, which revealed the planned changes. Looking at the photo of the Oppo brand model, you can see similarities. This concerns the side of the casing and the appearance of the aforementioned buttons. This only confirms to us that the equipment from China will simply be rebranded.
The new smartwatch will not be the only new Oppo branded device that OnePlus plans to borrow soon. It will be similar in the case of the foldable Find N5 smartphone. Its premiere is also scheduled for February this year. In time, the device will hit international markets, but under a different brand and name – as the Open 2 model. However, this will not happen in the short term. In this case, we will probably have to wait a few months for the debut, not weeks.
