iOS 19 is a major update for iPhones that is expected to introduce various changes. It is possible that they will include the appearance of the system. The new Apple Invitations app gives us a sneak peek. In it, you can see interface elements that the company can successfully introduce to iOS 19 for phones. Let’s see what to expect.
iOS 19 is an update for iPhones that Apple will present in June. There are still a few months left until the official announcement. However, we already know that there may be some changes to the user interface. It is possible that the manufacturer has already revealed some of them. Thanks to the new Invitations application.
Changes for iOS 19 visible in the new Apple Invitations application
Apple released the Invitations application a few days ago and it certainly differs visually from what we know from the company’s previous software. New elements appear and it is suspected that they herald changes in the UI planned for iOS 19, which the manufacturer wants to introduce to iPhones later this year. Some of them could already be seen in Sports from 2024. This was noticed by Parker Ortolani, who summed it up with the following words.
“Apple’s latest new app, Sports, already seemed like a departure from iOS 18. It has a design language more like visionOS or watchOS, using colorful backgrounds, glassy floating UI elements, expanding buttons, and lots of layered shapes. The Invitations app takes it even further. It has big, beautiful cards, semi-transparent elements, big, bold buttons, and an emphasis on content. It seems so obvious that it’s a preview of what’s to come in a future iOS update […] It seems awfully suspicious that Apple’s two latest apps have a completely new design language that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the operating system. Presumably other first-party apps are well on their way to getting proper overhauls. Maybe in iOS 19?” Parker Ortolani comments.
There’s something to it. The iOS 19 update may indeed introduce some major UI changes that are inspired by what we already know from Apple’s Invitations app. It looks interesting, and it could be the direction the manufacturer goes with the entire iPhone operating system.
When will the iOS 19 update for iPhones be released?
The iOS 19 update will be presented during the WWDC25 conference, which is expected in June. There is no exact date yet. Beta tests will begin later, but the public pilot program will probably have to wait until July. The finalized update should be ready in September.
It is worth adding that information has already appeared about changes to the user interface. Rumors assume that inspirations from visionOS are to be introduced to the Camera app. Probably not only there. Which of the phones with the bitten apple logo will receive the new update? It is possible that the same ones that received the update last year.
